TISPA was registered as a non-profit organisation in December 2002. TISPA strives to bring together the Internet community to collectively make the internet accessible to as many Tanzanians as possible. TISPA manages the Tanzania Internet eXchange Points across 6 regions with the primary exchange point TIX located on the 13th Floor, Posta House in Dar-es-salaam while others are located in Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya, Mwanza and Zanzibar.
TZIS will have numerous opportunities for knowledge, idea and skills sharing, discussions, debates, and networking. The theme of inaugural TZIS shall ‘'Advancing Multi-stakeholder Collaboration For Tanzania Internet Development''
TZIS will unite the African Internet community under one roof and this will be an opportunity for Internet actors from many sectors such as governments, regulators, academics, Internet service providers, companies running networks and more to peer and discuss important Internet-related issues from a technical, governance and policy perspectives.
